I see your good point. if you need to have more punch it can hold a more consistent weapon. The Rifle is intended for tapping mts, copters and the alikes at a distance while assault dashing. But weight wise it's a heavy weapon, there are lots of replacements that can be loaded in its place.

the burst rifle is a terrible choice, just use the chainsaw, gatling gun, or siege missile launcher
